Cross Cheer Camps

Cross Cheer camps are designed to teach children the fundamentals of cheerleading in a Christ-centered atmosphere. Each camp week begins with stretching and games, and then as a group we learn cheerleading motions, jumps, cheers, stunts, and a dance throughout the week. Each girl is assigned a buddy team and we work in our buddy groups for more personal coaching. Each camp week has a word of the week in which we use that word as an acronym for the week for daily devotionals. My personal message of asking Christ into my heart at age 11 is shared on Wednesdays and girls are given the chance to ask Christ into their heart if they want to believe in Jesus (this is only offered to children 6 and up and a seperate devotion is spoken to ages 5 and under). Through the years, I have seen 25+ girls ask Jesus into their heart through prayer and it is such a blessing! At the end of the week, all cheerleaders have the opportunity to perform for their family and friends at 11:30 a.m. at each camp location.
